Kowhai Room – under 2s

Programme planning

We are working to an emergent curriculum where each child’s needs are met individually. At the moment since many of our children are under one it is all about gaining physical skills learning to move and discovering what our bodies can do. Some of our older children are showing an interest in vehicles and music so we will continue to provide opportunities to extend those interests.

Pohutukawa Room – Over 2’s

Programme planning

Over with the big kids children are showing interest in insects (especially pray mantis) we have been finding baby one’s in our garden.

The children are still showing an interest in fire fighters, rescue vehicles so to support this interest we had organised the local fire brigade to visit our centre.
